Trek Desk

A couple months ago I posted about the treadmill desk that my husband built for me. He thought it was simple to build, but there is no way I would have known what to do on my own. I suspect that most people wouldn’t know how to create their own treadmill desk.  I recently found a site called TrekDesk that is selling adjustable desks designed to fit any treadmill.

The legs are adjustable, and the desk surface looks pretty big.   The desk can also fold up for storage when not being used.  Obviously I haven’t used this desk yet, but I think it looks pretty awesome.  I’d love to have one someday to have a bigger work surface.  If you want to walk while you work, check out their site at www.TrekDesk.com.

Does anyone out there have one of these?  How do you like it?  I would LOVE to have one of these at work so that I could walk 8 hours a day instead of sitting on my butt 8 hours a day!  Unfortunately I can’t see my bosses footing the bill for a treadmill and a treadmill desk just for me…   😉

  1. I saw this on the news a few months ago. There are offices actually using this to keep their employees fit and healthy. I would think they would have to have sit down desks as well. I can’t imagine walking for 8 hours.

Yes you are right. Walking for 8 hours might be pushing it, but I think some employers have just one treadmill desk and people take turns or something. That would be SO cool.

That’s awesome, Michelle! Thanks for sharing. I definitely think I could use something like that because I sit WAY too much! I know standing is better than sitting.
