Just Keep Swimming!

just keep swimmingNew distance PR!  I ran 9.4 miles today in 1 hour and 41 minutes.  If you know the area, I ran from my house in Akron down to Coventry Plaza on Manchester Road.  I just did it and it still sounds crazy and unbelievable!!  

I like having a destination for my runs.  To me, it makes me feel like I have more of a goal than if I run half way and turn around.  It’s all mental, but I’m learning to play whatever mind games I need to play to just keep swimming!  (Finding Nemo reference)  When I’m running and it is getting tough to keep going, I just think of Dory saying “just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming” and somehow it helps!
