Today I ran another 5K as part of the Ohio Challenge Series. The race is set around the beautiful Lake Anna in Barberton and honors an American Olympian. The setting was beautiful, but I’m not going to lie. This was not one of my favorite races because I went totally alone. I didn’t have anyone to talk to before or after the race, and I didn’t even have anyone to hold my stuff. I had to go back to my car (3-4 blocks away) to put my goodie bag away and then hustle back to make the starting line in time. I really need to make some running friends so this doesn’t keep happening!
On a positive note, I finished the race in 27:39 and was 10th place in my age group (out of 52 people)!!! That’s pretty cool even though that’s not why I’m doing it. It’s still a great feeling to be able to say I had a top 10 finish. 😀
