Earlier this year, I committed to running 3 half-marathons in 2011. I completed Cleveland in May and Akron in September. My finale was supposed to be the Stomp the Grapes Half Marathon on November 5, 2011.
However, I’ve been asked to become a meeting leader with Weight Watchers (yay!), and the training is that weekend. I could push the training back, but I need to get on it ASAP so that I can be ready for our busy season in January. I’m so excited to get started with training and I really hope that my story can help motivate others to succeed as well!
I feel like a jerk for not completing what I set out to do, but my heart is saying I should be at the training. Working as a leader will allow me to connect with and help so many people. I just can’t pass it up!
