I was supposed to run yesterday, but I still had a lingering headache, so I pushed it back to today. I’ve had three days off since my last run, so I figured my legs would be nice and rested!  I guess they were, but I still struggled to get through this run!  I think it was more boredom or tiredness than physical limitations!

  • Couch to 5K Week 7 Day 1
  • Walk 5 minutes to warm up
  • Run 25 minutes
  • Walk 5 minutes to cool down

The intervals are over. I’ve progressed to the point in the C25K training plan that I no longer have any intervals. Now I just work on steadily increasing the length of time I’m running each week. I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown!

I walked at a speed of 3.0 for my warm up and cool down. I ran at a speed of 5.0 for the full 25 minutes.  I was watching training videos on my tablet while I was running, so I’m not sure why I still felt like I couldn’t wait for the 25 minutes to end!

I was back on the treadmill today because I find it a little hectic to get outside in the mornings. When I run outside, I worry more about my appearance. I have to make sure I time it just right so I’m back home in time to get ready for work. I have to mess with my armband and headphones. I have to worry about how warm to dress.

I know that makes me sound like a big baby, but it’s just not something I want to worry about at 5:30 in the morning. Right now it just seems easier to use the treadmill on the weekdays. I’m hoping to do two runs during the week on the treadmill and then get outside for a longer run on the weekends.

How will you be active today?

  1. Great job, glad your headache is gone, or at least better. I have had a migraine/headache for close to a week now; the storms and air pressure need to settle down!

That’s funny Aunt Peggy because Laurie kept telling me she thought the headache might be weather related and once it started raining I felt much better!
