Today was hard. I’m not going to sugar coat it. I didn’t want to workout today. I don’t know if it’s the time change or what, but I’m tired and sluggish today. Even doing things I normally love has been a chore. I feel confident I would have skipped the workout if I wasn’t posting my progress on the blog, so thanks for reading and keeping me accountable!
I was able to maintain the same pace of jogging at a speed of 6.0 and walking at a speed of 3.0 on the treadmill. It was more of a mental struggle than a physical one. My body was able to do it. My mind wasn’t so sure today. I just wasn’t in mood to read, so I watched an episode of Downsize Me. Watching a show about weight loss and healthy habits helps remind me why I’m working out. It also helps to think “If they can do it, so can I!” Tomorrow starts week 3 and my intervals will get longer. I sure hope I am feeling better!
The takeaway is this: we need to get out of our own way. Don’t ask yourself if you FEEL like it. Just do it. Your body can handle it. You are awesome. You just need to believe it!
