I completed my C25K workout before work this morning. I work a later shift on Wednesdays so I’m able to work on my blog for an hour or so and still have time to workout. I think I’ve discovered that it’s hard for me to wake up and get on the treadmill right away. This morning I had my coffee and worked on the blog for a bit so I was fully awake when it was time to run. It felt much easier that way than it has many other mornings!

  • Couch to 5K Week 2 Day 2
  • Walk 5 minutes to warm up
  • Run 90 seconds
  • Walk 2 minutes
  • Repeat the run and walk intervals for a total of 20 minutes
  • Walk 5 minutes to cool down

I was able to maintain the same pace of jogging at a speed of 6.0 and walking at a speed of 3.0 on the treadmill.  I read a chapter of The Fringe Hours while I did it so I was able to work on my body and my spirit at the same time! I love reading on my tablet because I can adjust the brightness and increase the font size to 150% or 175%. This makes it much easier to read while running!

This time I didn’t even consider quitting. I’m getting some confidence back. I know the C25K plan works, and I trust that it wouldn’t give me more than I can handle.

What are you doing for activity today? You don’t have to run. It doesn’t have to be for 30 or 60 minutes. Just get off the couch and do SOMETHING! 🙂
