WHY NOT REALLY HUNGRY?
My blog is called Not Really Hungry because I struggle with mindless eating and emotional eating…basically eating when I’m not really hungry! If hunger is not the problem, food is not the solution. Logically I know this, but it is hard to put into practice. As of December 2014, my total weight loss is 95.6 pounds. I am working towards my goal of losing 100 pounds (100.8 to be exact)! My ultimate goal is to help others change their lives as I have. When I weighed 245 pounds, I was MISERABLE. I was uncomfortable, embarrassed, tired, and depressed. I don’t want anyone else to feel like that.
It is somewhat scary to share my feelings and struggles, but it is completely worth it if I can make a difference for even one person. I also share things that I hope will help others with weight loss and weight maintenance. For a quick list of all the topics covered, visit the site map page.
I am married and work full time in accounting. I am fortunate to have a very supportive husband named Jimi. Thank God he has loved me at all my weights because I think I was overweight the majority of our first 8 years of marriage. We were unable to have children of our own, but we have twin nieces and an awesome nephew that we spoil any chance we get!
PLEASE share your thoughts, feedback, and questions. All that I ask is that we all treat each other with respect. I want this to be a safe place where we can support each other. I won’t tolerate anyone being mean or hurtful. If you are mean, I will delete your comment. It’s okay to disagree with me or any other readers, but please be considerate and tactful.
I talk about Weight Watchers a lot because that is the plan I have relied on for so long. I truly believe in the program because it has worked so well for me. You do not have to be a WW member or even a fan to benefit from my experiences. The information I share can be beneficial regardless of what eating/exercise plan you follow. You may have your own way that works better for you, and that’s great. I just want to provide motivation, inspiration, and support in any way I can. The emotions that lead us to overeating are universal.
I have no formal education or training in health or nutrition. Be sure to consult with your doctor before starting any diet or exercise routine. I am not an expert. I can only share my experience and tell you what worked for me with weight loss, healthy eating, and exercise.
